My name is Julie Perry, and I’m running for the Virginia House of Delegates in the 86th District to bring a fresh perspective to government. I’m not a Richmond insider; I’m a working teacher.
My father served in the United States Air Force, so growing up we moved around quite a bit—I learned the value of finding a place you could call home, and I found that here in Herndon with my husband, Mike. Education is a lifelong passion of mine—I get to live in my dream job every day, teaching 9th grade world history and 11th grade U.S. History at Centreville High School in Fairfax County.
My focus is on the issues that matter closest to home:
- Stopping Critical Race Theory from spreading through Virginia’s Schools
- Improving our Education System
- Backing the Blue
- Restoring Faith in our Elections
- Fiscal Accountability
- Preserving Right to Work
My pledge to the voters of the 86th District is simple: I will work harder and travel farther than anyone to understand the issues that matter the most to you, and to earn the responsibility of representing you in the House of Delegates.
